The Violin Company workshop has now relocated from Derbyshire to Newcastle Upon Tyne, as of November 2020.
We are located in our workshop at home and welcome customers BY APPOINTMENT ONLY PLEASE.

We are always pleased to hear from our customers and prospective customers. We prefer to be contacted via email, which we monitor closely. However, if you prefer to chat on the phone, please call our telephone number below. If we're in the middle of something, leave us a message and we'll return your call as soon as we can.

We don't have a retail showroom with mahogany display cabinets and fancy practice rooms but a functional workshop with shelves full of violins in cases and drawers full of accessories. We are very happy to welcome customers to our premises to try out violins by appointment. Advanced bookings are necessary so we can be sure to have the violins that you are interested in, set up and ready to play. As most of our business comes via this web site we tend to set up violins as required so may not have a particular violin ready for you to play at short notice.

Opening Hours

Our opening hours are somewhat flexible. It depends a lot on how busy we are. We don't normally open at the weekends but we will be happy to for customers wanting to try out instruments.

Online orders are processed throughout the week, and in-person appointments can arranged by telephone or email if you would like to try out instruments, purchase accessories or require repair or MOT work on your instrument. Please do not arrive at our premises without an appointment.
